Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Ahmed McLemore studies jazz double bass at Oberlin Conservatory, currently in his fourth year under Gerald Cannon. He lives in Dallas, Texas and has performed with student ensembles and faculty in high-profile venues including SFJAZZ. He is active in the 2023-24 Oberlin Sonny Rollins Jazz Ensemble.
