Alexander Claffy is a New York City-based bassist and bandleader born and raised in Philadelphia. Since moving to NYC in 2011, he has become one of the most in-demand performers of his generation, working with jazz legends including Jimmy Cobb, Louis Hayes, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Christian Scott. He leads multiple ensembles and has recorded for major labels including Verve, HighNote, Positone, and RopeADope.
