About
Israeli-based double bassist and composer currently residing in New York. Trained in Tel Aviv and New York, Near graduated from The New School for Jazz with an Honorary Degree. He has performed with Grammy Award-winning Billy Childs, saxophonist Eli Degibri, and pianist Lynne Arriale, appearing at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the New York Winter Jazz Festival.
