Son of legendary bandleader Gerald Wilson, he emerged in the late 1990s with Grammy-nominated nonet albums and acclaimed trio recordings exploring Hammond organ-based soul-jazz. He has been a core member of Diana Krall's quartet since 2001 and collaborated with Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, and jazz masters including Charles Lloyd and Ron Carter.
