About
Oakland-born Craig Handy emerged in the mid-1980s as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. He has since anchored the Mingus Big Band and toured with Herbie Hancock. Handy is renowned for his commanding tone and sophisticated approach to both hard bop and soul-infused jazz.
