Born in San Diego and raised in Columbus, Ohio, David Cook is a Brooklyn-based jazz pianist/composer and graduate of the University of Michigan. He has released leader albums such as *Pathway* (2010), *Scenic Design* (2015), and *Loyal Returns* (2023), and served as musical director or band leader for high-profile vocalists including Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson. As an educator, he holds an adjunct professorship at Montclair State University, and has represented the U.S. through Jazz at Lincoln Center and State Department initiatives, performing globally in regions including the Middle East.
