David DeJesus is a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and composer active on the New York City jazz scene since the late 1990s. He has performed with prestigious ensembles including the Arturo O'Farrill Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, Mingus Big Band, and Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Currently, he serves as Head of Jazz Studies at Purchase College and directs the Birdland Big Band.
