Garvin Blake is a Trinidad-born steelpan player and jazz innovator based in Brooklyn, New York. He began playing steel drums at age seven and immigrated to the United States in 1972. Blake has released two acclaimed pan jazz albums—Belle Eau Road Blues (1999) and Parallel Overtones (2015)—and has performed at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
