About
Born March 28, 1971, in Staten Island, New York, Jeremy Manasia began playing piano at age seven and developed his craft through LaGuardia High School and the Manhattan School of Music. After completing a master’s degree in Holland, he emerged as a leader, releasing albums like Witchery (2007), After Dark (2009), Green Dream (2012), Pixel Queen (2013), and Butcher Block Ballet (2022), while also appearing as sideman with luminaries such as Jimmy Cobb, Javon Jackson, Eddie Gomez, Peter Bernstein, and Diane Schuur. A respected educator, Manasia has taught at the Manhattan School of Music since the late 1990s, guiding new generations of pianists.
