Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Luther S. Allison holds a B.M. in Studio Music & Jazz from the University of Tennessee and an M.M. in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University. Now based in New York City, he is in-demand as both a pianist and drummer, performing internationally and releasing his debut leader album *I Owe It All To You* to high acclaim. He contributed to the Grammy-winning single “Tight” by Samara Joy and has been commissioned by Jazz at Lincoln Center to arrange sacred works of Duke Ellington.
