About
Maki Nientao is a Washington Heights, New York–raised jazz pianist who began classical studies at age five and transitioned into jazz during high school through Jazz at Lincoln Center youth programs. A Dyckman Institute Scholar at Columbia University (Class of ’26) studying history and music, he has performed at venues such as , Cellar Dog, and Minton’s. He records and performs regularly in the NYC jazz scene while pursuing academic and musical dual paths.
