Born October 8, 1978, in Houston, Texas, Mike Moreno is a jazz guitarist and composer recognized as one of the leading voices of his generation. He studied at the Houston High School for the Performing and Visual Arts before attending the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music on scholarship in 1997. Moreno has toured and recorded extensively with major jazz artists including Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis, Robert Glasper, and Terence Blanchard, while establishing himself as a bandleader with six acclaimed recordings.
