About
Born in the Bronx and raised in Yonkers, Quintin Harris made his stage debut at five and later earned a B.M. in Jazz Performance from William Paterson University. His mentors include GRAMMY-winning pianist Bill Charlap, Aaron Diehl, Geoffrey Keezer, and Ben Paterson. A regular in prominent NYC jazz venues, he was a top-5 finalist in the 2022 American Jazz Pianist Competition and has been nominated for multiple BroadwayWorld Awards in jazz performance.
Music Style
Harris's sound is a vibrant fusion of jazz improvisation, the deep pocket of R&B, and the heartfelt expressiveness of soul music. He masterfully switches between electric and upright bass, crafting sophisticated bass lines that are both technically impressive and deeply grooving.
