Canadian-born saxophonist Ralph Bowen emerged in the mid-1980s as co-leader of the acclaimed Blue Note group Out of the Blue. He has recorded over 70 titles as sideman and leader, collaborating with jazz legends including Horace Silver, Michel Camilo, and Kenny Garrett. Currently an Associate Professor at Rutgers University, Bowen is recognized for his technical mastery and thoughtful approach to jazz composition and arrangement.
