Raphael Silverman

Born in New York City and raised in White Plains, Raphael Silverman began playing guitar at 13. He has studied under Bobby Broom and attended Columbia University, becoming known for leading his own trio and collaborating with jazz luminaries like Philip Harper, Johnny O’Neal, and Eric Alexander. He is recipient of awards from DownBeat Magazine and the Jarek Śmietana International Jazz Guitar Competition, and has performed at iconic venues including Smalls, Minton’s Playhouse, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
