Jazzcultural

Jazzcultural is a music room and café at 349 West 46th Street, dedicated to the memory of Barry Harris and his original Jazz Cultural Theatre — the bebop workshop space Harris ran in the 1980s and 90s where generations of jazz musicians studied his harmonic system. The new club opened on March 20, 2026 in the former Swing 46 space on Restaurant Row, with a founding mission "to Barry and to the jazz community." The venue is built around two rooms. A ground-floor café and bar opens daily at noon with no music charge between 12 PM and 5 PM, making it one of the few Times Square–area jazz rooms open for afternoon walk-ins. From 6 PM on, a music charge applies: $25 for café/bar seats and $40 for the Studio, with a one-drink-per-person minimum added to the tab. The Jazzcultural Studio is the 90-seat concert room. Programming runs across three nightly showtimes — 7 PM (doors 6:15), 9 PM (doors 8:15), and a 10:30 PM late show — plus jam sessions as part of the club's full operating schedule. Tickets are sold through SmallsLive — Jazzcultural is part of the SmallsLive family alongside Smalls Jazz Club and Mezzrow in the West Village, and the two platforms share ticketing infrastructure. Walk-ins are welcome for bar and Studio seats subject to availability.
