About

Midnight Blue is a relatively new addition to the NYC jazz scene, opened in summer 2024 by the team behind Martiny’s & L’Americana. The space doesn’t yet carry decades of legacy but quickly earned attention for its design, drinks, and music programming. Today, Midnight Blue focuses on an elevated yet approachable jazz-with-dinner barroom experience. The front room, dubbed the “whisky library,” is intimate and cozy, while the back room centers on a small stage with spotlighted jazz performers. Acoustic balance leans toward ambience, allowing conversation between sets. With Japanese-inspired bar bites and truffle fries, plus cocktails by Takuma Watanabe, it’s ideal for date nights or casual nights out. Key features include an elegant interior with a whisky library front bar and a plush back room with stage lighting and moody ambiance. Live jazz is featured nightly, spotlighting local and touring modern jazz acts. Sets are arranged nightly in two groups, with typical start times at 7 PM and 8 PM, resuming later into the evening.
