Overview

Order the Red Dragon

Try the Red Dragon cocktail—it’s bold, herbal, and a standout made with tequila, tamarind, blood orange & Sichuan chili powder.

Request Stage Side Tables

Book a 'Stage Side' table if available for the most immersive experience, as the room is narrow and the back can feel slightly removed.

Ideal for a high-concept date night or anyone looking for a jazz experience that breaks the traditional 'basement' mold.

Check their calendar for 'Noir Jazz' nights specifically, as the venue rotates between cabaret, burlesque, and live bands.

The venue operates as a teahouse during the day; it's a great spot to scout the vibe before committing to a full evening show.

About

Founded in early 2023 by creative director Shien Lee and chef Zoey Gong, The Red Pavilion was created in response to rising anti-AAPI sentiment. It serves as a cultural hub for the AAPI community and a sanctuary for performance art. The venue draws inspiration from the cinematic world of Wong Kar-wai, aiming to revive the glamour of mid-century Shanghai and Hong Kong. The Red Pavilion features striking red lighting, velvet curtains, and an intimate stage that brings performers within arm's reach of the audience. Its jazz programming focuses on 'Noir Jazz' and global fusions, complementing the venue's moody, underground aesthetic. The space is relatively small, ensuring every seat feels like a front-row experience. The venue offers a rich calendar of themed jazz nights alongside cabaret, performance art, wellness workshops, and immersive experiences. The space is approximately 2,500 square feet, with dramatic red lantern lighting and a center main stage. It seats up to 120 in cabaret style and can host 225 standing, attracting a diverse crowd interested in performance art and jazz.
